I am going to take a little bit of a detour this week in regards to the post. For anyone keeping up with the Current Project Status at the bottom of the page, I am now at 77,000 words for Coming Home and would proudly like to announce that the first draft is complete. Take that, meager goal of 60,000 and heckling Facebook follower who upped it to 65,000.
The Epilogue was technically finished last night; however I very optimistically wanted to try and do a run through of edits before making this post. To be fair, I did make it halfway. Now I know what you’re thinking: “Halfway! Halfway! Woo!” ~Anne Heche, Six Days Seven Nights. Alas, dinner is calling and I do have trouble saying no to chili.
Just know this, Coming Home has been a labor of love and I am immensely pleased with how the initial draft has turned out. So pleased in fact, that I included it in a submission to a Virtual Pitch Contest along with Sara’s Moon, Charline’s Solstice, Charlotte’s Midnight, Darkness Defined, and Darkest Whisper. Yes, I know, I may have gone a little overboard.

Still, you never know, any one of my little darlings could be coming to a local book store near you. Until then, I’ll keep you posted 😉
